Dive in. Build Tradition

Join us for Atherton’s Inaugural Swim Team Season.

How to Participate

As part of our inaugural season, we know that this will be a learning year for both our swimmers and our Team. To that end, we are offering a few different ways for you to get involved and be part of our Orca Family!

Orca Pod

This option is intended for those still learning how to swim. This would be perfect if your little ones…

  • Are between 3-5 years old
  • Want to get more comfortable in the water
  • Need to prep for the Competitive Team next year

Competitive Team

This option is intended for those who can already swim comfortably across the pool. This is the right choice if you…

  • Are between 6-18 years old
  • Can swim but do not know all of the strokes yet
  • Want to experience a more competitive environment

Private Lessons

Our Pod and Team Coach has also agreed to do Private or Semi-Private Group lessons. This is a great option if you….

  • Are not ready to commit to either Team but need lessons
  • Are an adult that cannot join the Team but want lessons
  • Want to perfect your skills with more dedicated focus

How will it work

We are building a new community tradition and we want your family to be a part of the founding roster.

Six-week long season

Our season will run from May 26 through July 2

Practices 3 days a week

Practices will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays in the late afternoon.

One Meet

As it is our inaugural season, we will only be participating in one ‘friendly’ meet this year

Highly Qualified Coach

We are so lucky to have Coach Avery join as our head coach. She brings years of competitive experience and a passion for instruction from technical to competitive

Sponsorship is Key

Even as a non-profit, we still have expenses. Our registrations help cover much of the costs, but can use all the sponsorship and donations we can get

No weekend travel commitments

In this inaugural year, we will keep our activities local and limited to the weekday practices and a single, away meet during the week

Swimming is normal for me. I’m relaxed. I’m comfortable, and I know my surroundings. It’s my home
